We are pleased to announce that the iconic scheme George House, Sloane Street, has been awarded the ‘Mixed-Use Development’ award at the UK Property Awards. Due to the combined efforts of the team it ensured it was a great project to be involved in and we are thankful for the opportunity to work along with Cadogan Estates, Stiff & Trevillion, Mace and Trevor Patrick Partnership.

In the words of Cadogan Estates:

‘The development is a transformative mixed-use development for Chelsea, the largest to arrive in the area for a generation. It brings exciting new luxury fashion brands to London, along with independent ‘artisan’ community uses as a result of a local consultation with those who live and work in the area – resulting in a butcher, baker, cheesemonger and greengrocer among others.

These different uses are connected by a new open air courtyard shared by building users and visitors alike, richly landscaped to create a lush, green ‘oasis’ of tranquillity within a dense urban area and offering a destination restaurant and informal café, as well as a gym and spa.

Designed by architects Stiff + Trevilion, George House’s distinctive contemporary design is distinctive, while blending with the surrounding red brick frontages and 19th century architecture synonymous with the neighbourhood.

Since completion, footfall to the area has increased by 24%, a mix of both local and international visitors enjoying its variety of services and facilities. It has been built with maximum sustainability and energy efficiency in mind and has achieved a BREEAM ‘excellent’ rating.

The UK Property Awards celebrate the highest levels of achievement by companies operating in all sectors of the property and real estate industry. They are judged by an independent panel of 70 industry experts, focusing on criteria including design, quality, service, innovation, originality, and commitment to sustainability.’
