A Lookback at The Curve: Slough’s Architectural Gem
Share your story:

The Curve, a distinguished architectural achievement, stands as a hallmark for developers, having received multiple prestigious awards.

Procured and delivered via Slough’s Urban Renewal team, the project houses a new library, meeting rooms, café, theatre and gardens, creating a fantastic new focus for community activity.

The Curve, designed by BBLUR architects with CZWG, has already been recognised by a number of awards including a Thames Valley Property Award and an LABC Award.

The dynamic façade combines brise soleil curtain walling and striking bespoke curved glazing in a dynamic exterior which embodies a sense of civic pride.

We were entrusted with the complex delivery of the full building envelope. Kieran Mallinson, Director of Colorminium commented: “It was a challenging project, in which we needed to maintain extreme attention to detail and uncompromising standards across the interiors and exteriors of the build. In realising the brief to deliver the building’s complex form, we devised a creative and innovative cladding solution that would achieve bblur’s architectural vision. We are extremely proud of the finished result, helping to create what is arguably the jewel in the crown of Slough’s regeneration.”
