As part of our ongoing Corporate Social Responsibility commitments, Colorminium has selected Alzheimer’s Society as our Charity of the Year.
Alzheimer’s Society is the UK’s leading dementia charity, providing support to people living with dementia and their families, while also funding research and campaigning for better care and understanding. Dementia is a condition that affects individuals, families and communities nationwide, with significant social and economic impact.
The charity was put forward by Chaye Thirlwell, Assistant Quantity Surveyor at Colorminium, following the loss of his grandmother to the disease last year. His experience reflects the often sudden and far‑reaching effects dementia can have, reinforcing the importance of early support, awareness and continued research.
Supporting Alzheimer’s Society aligns with our Caring value—supporting our people, acting with empathy, and recognising the wider responsibilities we hold as a business operating in the built environment. It also reflects our approach to CSR: focusing on causes that are meaningful, relevant and grounded in real experience.
Throughout the year, our teams will take part in fundraising and awareness initiatives to support the charity’s work. Donations can be made via our JustGiving page:
